전통을 잇는 한 잔의 구조

조용한 동네 길목 어딘가, 처음 만나는 길목 한켠의 조그마한 한옥 위스키바 청파랑.위스키 바는 청파로 길목 한편의 전통의 멋이 살아 있는 한옥에서 시작하게 되었습니다.

청파랑 만의 특별한 한옥 정체성을 만들기 위해 전통적인 오브제인 전돌을 이용하여

공간을 풀어 나갔습니다. 전통의 멋과 BAR 의 공간적인 특성상 조금은 무거운듯한 분위기의 공간을 풀어가기 위해  옛것의 전돌이라는 컨셉으로 공간을 풀기에 수평적인 바닥과 수직적인 BAR 구조들에 대해서 하나의 느낌을 느낄 수 있는 디자인을 고려 하였습니다. 전돌 브릭이라는 컨셉을 공간적인 해석으로 풀어 나가기 위해 쌓기 방식을 다양화를 선택 하고 전돌만이 가지는 옛스러움 느낌을 살리기 위해 기와, 와편 과 같은 소재들을 직관적으로 이용하여 공간을 구성했습니다.

공간 구성은 BAR , VIP ROOM, 화장실, 홀로 구성되어 있고 전체적으로 공간의 독립성을 주기보다는 하나의 느낌으로 공간을 풀어나갔습니다.

The Structure of a Single Drink, Continuing Tradition

Tucked away at a quiet street corner, Cheongparang began as a small hanok whisky bar where the charm of tradition quietly lives on. Set along a modest intersection in Cheongpa-ro, the space offers an encounter that feels both unexpected and familiar—where the first step inside reveals a different rhythm of time.

To establish Cheongparang’s distinct hanok identity, the space was shaped around jeondol, a traditional Korean brick used historically in architecture. Rather than allowing the inherent weight of tradition and the bar’s intimate atmosphere to feel heavy, the design reinterprets jeondol as a unifying spatial language. Horizontal floor planes and vertical bar structures were carefully composed to share a single, cohesive sensibility. To translate the concept of jeondol brick into spatial form, various stacking methods were explored. Materials such as roof tiles and wapyeon were used intuitively, preserving the aged character unique to jeondol while reinforcing a tactile connection to the past.

Instead of emphasizing separation between areas, the bar, VIP room, hall, and restroom were designed to flow as one continuous atmosphere. Through this approach, the space unfolds not as a collection of distinct rooms, but as a unified structure—where tradition is carried forward, one carefully poured drink at a time.
