천천히 쌓인 녹음의 흐름

랑데자뷰의 두 번째 코스메틱 브랜드 아이엠 랑데자뷰 포레 드 비자 지점은 제주도의 자연이 지닌 깊은 녹음을 공간 안에 담아낸 프로젝트입니다. 제주의 풍경을 단순히 재현하기보다 오랜 시간 동안 켜켜이 쌓여온 자연의 흐름과 그 안에 깃든 고요한 에너지를 공간 언어로 풀어내는데 집중했습니다.

이번 프로젝트는 제주를 대표하는 자연 유산인 비자림에서 출발했습니다. 천 년의 시간을 견뎌온 비자나무 숲이 지닌 묵직한 존재감과 깊은 녹음은 공간 전반의 분위기를 이끄는 핵심 모티브로 작용합니다. 비자림의 자연을 보다 직접적으로 전달하기 위해 매장 내부에는 비자나무의 형상을 공간적으로 구현하여 강렬한 인상을 남기고자 했습니다. 이는 단순한 조형적 장치가 아닌 숲의 중심에 들어선 듯한 감각을 불러일으키는 상징적인 장면으로 기능합니다. 이 공간 안에서 방문자들은 도심의 일상으로부터 잠시 떨어져 제주 자연이 지닌 평화롭고 자연 친화적인 분위기를 온전히 경험하게 됩니다. 자연이 만들어낸 시간의 층위를 공간으로 옮겨온 장소입니다. 천천히 쌓인 녹음의 흐름 속에서 방문자들은 자연과 자신 사이의 거리를 좁히며 조용한 휴식의 순간을 마주합니다.

The Slow Accumulation of Verdant Flow

I am Rendezvous Forêt de Bija, the second cosmetic brand space by Rendezvous, is a project that captures the deep verdancy of Jeju’s nature within a spatial experience. Rather than simply recreating the island’s landscape, the design focuses on translating the natural flow that has accumulated over time—and the quiet energy embedded within it—into a contemporary spatial language.

This project draws its inspiration from Bijarim, one of Jeju’s most treasured natural heritages. The profound presence and dense greenery of the nutmeg yew forest, shaped over a thousand years, serve as the central motif that defines the atmosphere of the space. To convey the essence of Bijarim more directly, the form of the nutmeg yew tree is spatially reinterpreted within the interior, leaving a strong and lasting impression. More than a sculptural element, it functions as a symbolic scene—evoking the sensation of standing at the heart of the forest itself.

Within this space, visitors are gently distanced from the rhythms of urban life and invited to fully experience the peaceful, nature-oriented atmosphere unique to Jeju. By translating the layers of time shaped by nature into space, I’m Rendezvous Forêt de Bija becomes a place where the slow accumulation of verdant flow narrows the distance between nature and the self, offering moments of quiet and restorative rest.
