모든 가구는 기능에 충실하면서도 아름다워야 한다는 철학을 바탕으로 시옷스페이스는 가구 디자인에 대한 독창적인 접근 방식을 제시하고자 했습니다. 이 프로젝트는 단순한 가구의 기능성을 넘어서 예술성과 기능성의 균형을 찾는 데 중점을 두었습니다.

특히, 반복된 형태의 테이블 다리는 이 공간을 사용하는 사람들에게 새롭고 다채로운 경험을 제공합니다. 곡선적이고 반복적인 형태는 사용자가 공간을 사용할 때마다 새로운 시각적 효과를 선사하며 딱딱한 형식에서 벗어나 유동적인 느낌을 전달합니다. 디자인에서 중요한 포인트는 한국 전통의 요소 중 하나인 꽃 살 패턴을 테이블 상판으로 표현한 것 입니다.

단순하지만 깊은 의미를 담고 있는 동양적인 패턴의 미학을 적용하여 정제된 아름다움과 균형 잡힌 구성을 이끌어내려고 했습니다. 이를 통해 가구가 단순한 실용적인 요소를 넘어서 공간을 풍성하게 하는 예술적 존재로 자리매김할 수 있도록 했습니다.

Guided by the belief that every piece of furniture should be both functional and beautiful, SIOT SPACE set out to present an original approach to furniture design. This project focuses not merely on functionality, but on finding a thoughtful balance between utility and artistry.

In particular, the repeated form of the table legs offers users a fresh and multifaceted experience of the space. Their curved, rhythmic repetition creates shifting visual impressions each time the furniture is encountered, conveying a sense of movement and fluidity rather than rigid formality. A key design gesture lies in translating one of the elements of Korean tradition—the floral lattice pattern (kkotsal)—into the surface of the tabletop.

By applying the aesthetics of Eastern patterns, which are simple in form yet rich in meaning, the design aims to achieve a refined beauty and balanced composition. Through this approach, the furniture moves beyond pure practicality, establishing itself as an artistic presence that enriches and completes the surrounding space.
