흐름을 감싸는 묵직한 결

산스이는 '산'과 '물'의 의미를 담고 있으며, 자연과 스시의 조화를 표현한 공간입니다. 이 공간은 자연의 요소와 스시 문화가 유기적으로 결합된 디자인을 통하여 방문객들에게 그 두가지의 균형과 아름다움을 전달하려 합니다.

공간 디자인 언어로서 "CAVE" 라는 개념을 도입하여, 자연의 원초적인 느낌을 강조하고 있습니다. 입구에 들어서는 순간 하나의 레이어를 거쳐 기나긴 "CAVE"로 이어지는데 이 길고 좁은 공간은 단순한 공간을 넘어, 마치 자연의 동굴처럼 깊이 있고 고요한 분위기를 자아내며 시각적으로나 감각적으로 식사에 집중하도록 묵직하게 풀어내었습니다.

전체 공간 구성은 대기공간, 홀, 룸, 후면주방, 화장실로 구성되어 있습니다.

A Weighty Grain That Embraces the Flow

Sansui carries the meaning of mountain and water, expressing a space where nature and sushi exist in quiet harmony. Through a design language that organically intertwines natural elements with sushi culture, the space seeks to convey a sense of balance and beauty drawn from both.

To articulate this concept, the idea of a “CAVE” was introduced as the core spatial motif, emphasizing a raw and primal sensibility of nature. From the moment one enters, visitors pass through a layered threshold that gradually leads into a long, cave-like passage. This narrow and extended space goes beyond a simple circulation path—evoking the depth and stillness of a natural cave. It is designed to be visually and sensorially immersive, guiding the body and the senses into a state of focused attention on dining, with a deliberate sense of weight and calm.

The overall spatial composition unfolds through a sequence of waiting area, dining hall, private rooms, rear kitchen, and restrooms—structured to support a continuous flow while maintaining clarity and order throughout the experience.
