빛이 스치는 틈마다 잔상이 머문다

‘스테이 희와’는 혜화로 골목길에 위치한 한옥 스테이로 전통 한옥이 지닌 고요한 정서를 현대적인 감각으로 풀어낸 공간입니다. 바쁜 도시의 흐름에서 한 발 비켜선 골목 안쪽에서 일상의 속도를 잠시 늦추고 감각에 집중할 수 있는 머무름을 제안하고자 합니다.

대문을 열고 들어서면 전실 공간에서부터 차분하고 따뜻한 온기가 맞이하며 희와만의 독특한 레이아웃을 통해 거실과 침실이 분리되어 개인적인 여유와 쉼을 선사합니다. 공간 전반에는 과하지 않은 절제 속에서 편안함과 포근함이 흐르며 한옥의 정취를 오늘의 언어로 경험할 수 있도록 구성되었습니다. 특히 한옥 마당 한켠에 마련된 노천탕은 따뜻한 물과 시원한 바람이 만나는 장소로 외부의 시선으로부터 분리된 프라이빗한 환경 속에서 안정감 있는 휴식을 취할 수 있도록 합니다.

공간은 침실과 다도 공간, 주방, 화장실, 온천탕 그리고 작은 창고로 구성되어 있으며 각 영역은 독립적이면서도 자연스럽게 이어져 하나의 흐름을 이룹니다. 전통과 현대가 조화롭게 어우러진 이곳에서 머무는 이들은 불필요한 자극으로부터 벗어나 온전히 자신에게 집중하는 시간을 경험하게 됩니다. 빛이 스치듯 지나간 자리마다 남는 잔상처럼 희와에서의 시간은 조용하지만 오래도록 마음에 머물도록 합니다.

Afterimages Linger with Every Fleeting Touch of Light

Stay Heewa is a hanok stay tucked within the alleyways of Hyehwa-dong, where the quiet sensibility of traditional hanok architecture is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Set slightly apart from the pace of the city, the stay invites guests to slow down and focus on their senses, offering a moment of calm retreat from everyday rhythms.

Passing through the main gate, visitors are welcomed by a gentle warmth that begins in the entrance space. Heewa’s distinctive layout separates the living area from the bedroom, allowing for privacy and unhurried rest. Throughout the space, comfort and softness flow within a restrained palette, enabling guests to experience the atmosphere of a hanok in today’s language. In particular, the open-air bath set in one corner of the courtyard becomes a place where warm water meets a cool breeze—an independently arranged, private environment that offers a sense of stability and deep relaxation.

The space is composed of a bedroom, a tea room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a hot spring bath, and a small storage area. Each zone remains independent yet naturally connected, forming a continuous flow throughout the stay. Where tradition and modernity coexist in quiet balance, guests are able to step away from unnecessary stimuli and devote their time fully to themselves. Like afterimages left behind as light gently passes through, moments at Heewa are subtle yet linger in the mind long after.
