머무는 순간이 느려지는 스테이

도심 속 한가운데에서 여유롭게 쉬어가는 곳 '한가로움'은 전통적인 한옥 구조와 현대적 모던함이 자연스럽게 공존하는 스테이입니다. 삼청동 끝자락, 골목 깊숙한 곳에서 드물게 만날 수 있는 2층 구조의 한옥으로 층별로 룸이 분리되어있어서 프라이빗한 경험을 제공해줍니다. 각 층마다 서로 다른 분위기의 공용 공간을 갖추고 있어 머무는 동안 공간의 다층적인 매력을 느낄 수 있습니다.

1층은 거실 공간의 바닥 레벨을 높여 공간감을 강조했습니다. 중앙 테이블존은 바닥을 낮춰 외관상 좌식 평상처럼 보이지만 편안하게 발을 내릴 수 있도록 입식 형태로 설계하였습니다. 기존 한옥의 우물천장은 최대한 유지하되 조도 조절을 위해 일부 천장을 낮추고 간접조명으로 정리했습니다. 침실은 상·하층으로 나뉜 구조를 고려해도어 대신 루버를 사용해 자연스럽게 시야를 가려주었습니다.

계단을 따라 2층으로 올라서면 넓은 파우더룸이 먼저 맞이하고 그 뒤로 디딤석을 건너면 마치 야외에 있는 듯한 자쿠지가 눈 앞에 펼쳐집니다. 자쿠지 뒤편의 통창 너머로는 침실이 한눈에 들어오며 빔스크린을 내려 프라이빗하게 이용할 수 있도록 구성하였습니다. 낮 동안에는 따스한 볕이 실내 가득 들어와 한옥의 고즈넉함과 현대적 여유가 어우러진 특벽한 분위기를 만들어냅니다.

A Stay Where Time Gently Slows

Located at the heart of the city, Hangaroum is a place to pause and rest—where traditional hanok architecture and contemporary modern sensibilities coexist in quiet harmony. Tucked deep within the alleys at the edge of Samcheong-dong, this rare two-story hanok offers a private experience through its vertically separated rooms. Each floor features a shared space with a distinct atmosphere, allowing guests to experience the layered character of the stay throughout their visit.

On the first floor, the living area is elevated to enhance a sense of spatial depth. The central table zone is set lower, appearing like a traditional floor-seated platform, yet designed in a chair-height configuration to allow for relaxed and comfortable use. The original umul ceiling of the hanok has been preserved as much as possible, while select portions were lowered and refined with indirect lighting to allow for gentle control of illumination. In the bedroom, louvers were introduced in place of doors, softly filtering sightlines and maintaining visual continuity while respecting the split-level structure.

Ascending the stairs to the second floor, guests are first welcomed by a spacious powder room. Beyond it, stepping across stone thresholds reveals a jacuzzi that unfolds like an outdoor retreat within the interior. Behind the jacuzzi, a full-height glass window opens toward the bedroom, where a beam screen can be lowered to ensure privacy when desired. During the day, warm sunlight fills the space, creating a distinctive atmosphere where the quiet elegance of the hanok blends seamlessly with a sense of modern ease.
