해와 달이 된 오누이

"해와 달이 된 오누이" 이야기가 누가 처음 전하기 시작했는지 정확히 알 수는 없지만, 이 이야기는 오랜 세월 동안 여러 사람들의 입을 통해 전해져 내려왔습니다. '전해 내려오는 이야기'라는 점에서 전래동화와 오란다는 많은 공통점을 가지고 있다고생각했습니다. 이 이야기가 처음 어디서 시작되었는지 알 수 없지만, '호랑이 담배 피던 시절...'이라는 표현처럼 많은 이들의 기억 속에 살아있는 이야기로 이 공간이 이야기꾼이 되어 오란다를 많은 사람들에게 전하고자 합니다.

오란다 이야기는 호랑이 담배피던 시절부터 사람들 사이에서 입에서 입으로 전해져

온 이야기처럼 그 전통과 정서를 계속 이어가고 있습니다. 지금까지도 사람들에게 사랑받으며, 오란다는 그 이야기 속에 담긴 의미를 더 널리 알리고 그 여운을 오랫동안 간직할 수 있도록 만들어 주고 있습니다.

The Siblings Who Became the Sun and the Moon

It is impossible to know who first told the story of The Siblings Who Became the Sun and the Moon. Passed down through countless voices over many generations, the tale lives on not through records, but through memory. In this sense, traditional folktales and Oranda share much in common. Much like the familiar opening, “Once upon a time, when tigers used to smoke pipes…”, the story remains deeply embedded in collective memory. Here, the space itself becomes a storyteller—continuing to share Oranda’s story with many.

Like the folktales handed down from mouth to mouth since ancient times, the story of Oranda carries forward its tradition and emotional resonance.
Still loved by many today, Oranda seeks to extend the meaning held within these stories—allowing their echoes to linger, remembered and cherished long after they are told.
